“One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping winemakers with their barrel and rack needs during the chaotic wine harvest season. Seeing the relief on their faces when they realize they have one less thing to worry about gives me a great sense of pride.”
Growing up on the beautiful central coast of California, I was always intrigued by the booming wine industry but never imagined myself working in it.
In 2011, I was looking for temporary work between construction projects, when I found a Job listing for two weeks of work at a place called Quality Wine Barrels.
I didn’t know much about the company at the time, but it sounded interesting. After just one week as a temporary worker, I was offered a full-time laborer position.
I haven’t looked back since.
Now, 14 years later, I still enjoy my job and continue to learn more each day. It has been such an interesting experience to grow with the company: moving from laborer to truck driver, to manager, and then to General Manager.

The wine industry is ever evolving and an exciting industry to work in. Anyone who has been in this industry for a while knows every year has new lessons to teach and no year is the same as the last. I’m grateful for the journey I’ve had at QWB, and look forward to what the future holds. It’s been an incredible 14 years, and I’m excited to keep learning and growing with the team. Can’t wait to see what the next years bring.
